I'm Denise R., the breeder behind Rees Corgis located in Acampo, CA. My dogs are my beloved companions and family. I care deeply about this breed and am proud to be responsible Pembroke Welsh Corgi breeders of over 34+ years. I commit myself towards preparing each one of my puppies to thrive in their new homes, and enjoy working with their new families so that they can raise their beloved companions with confidence! My puppies are socialized with other dogs, cats and family members. My health program involves genetic testing, regular worming schedule, Wellness Exam, OFA for eye and hip, I believe in the "Good Fit" between new family and their puppy. This entails good communication and clarity; I am always available to be a source of information, help, be a resource - if I don't know, I will help us both research to get the answer. This Journey for both you and your new Companion and family member will filled with Joy, Laughter, Love, Adventure and Wonderful Memories that you will both share!!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I was wonderfully mentored by my breeder whom I got my first dogs from. I loved that she selflessly shared this wonderful breed with me through her knowledge, advice and constant support. I follow her lead in sharing my YEARS of knowledge and experience with fellow Corgi enthusiasts. I am very blessed with the many and lasting friendships I have formed over the years because of the shared love of our Corgis.

  • What makes your program special?

    My program is based on years of experience with multiple facets of the canine world; from working with show breeders, working dogs, obedience, etc. Knowledge is everything and I believe in sharing that knowledge with new families. My commitment is lifelong and I love the connections that continue over the years!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Denise

Denise has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Denise partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $100 non-refundable deposit and between $2,400 - $3,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"The price includes AKC registration , Worming Schedule, socializing, genetic testing, OFA, Wellness Exam, Puppy Swag Bag/Starter Info. Deposits may be refundable at my discretion."

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
