I'm Renee S., the breeder behind Rensai Kennels located in Hampton, VA. We breed both Flat Coated Retrievers & American Hairless Terriers. All dogs we own have titles at both ends of their names before bred. Our dogs have many accomplishments from winning Best in Specialty shows to winning National Championships. We have high expectations of our breeding stock!
Q. & A. with Renee
Why did you start breeding?
Being a responsible breeder has been a dream of mine ever since being a kid and finding my way into purebred dogs. I fell in love with both the Flat Coated Retriever and the American Hairless Terrier due to their happy nature. I decided I wanted to dedicate my program to promoting healthy, good tempered dogs who can not only win in the ring & do well in sports but be a great pet too.
What makes your program special?
Every puppy born here is well loved. I'm never desperate to sell a puppy and will wait as long as needed to find the perfect match. I breed to the breed standard, including working ability & temperament. I do my best to produce sound dogs who can do any task asked of them. I emphasize socialization and work on basic training to make sure the puppy has the easiest transition possible in it's new home.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our American Hairless Terrier puppies include hairless and coated coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Flat-Coated Retriever puppies include liver and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Flat-Coated Retriever
About Ever
Ever is my entire world. She is such a fun dog! She's always ready to go and with minimal showing has had a very successful show career. This will likely be her only litter because we want to get out there and show. I have plans to get her inducted into the Flat Coated Retriever Hall of Fame once she's a bit more accomplished. Ever is so easy to train and tries to be good. She never questions anything I ask of her and is such a great companion. In the house she loves to be with me any chance she gets. She gets along with everything and is just an all around great girl!
