Meet the breeder

I'm Michael S., the breeder behind Reservoir Dogs located in Pensacola, FL. Our dogs are raised as family pets with an emphasis on great health, good manners, and an all-around good disposition. We are big believers in both Prenatal & Postnatal Vitamins, as they have proven themselves in the overall health of the dam during the entire process. We take great pride in providing families with happy, healthy family pets.

Q. & A. with Michael

  • Why did you start breeding?

I bred Chow-Chows back in the mid 1980s. However, started back up several years ago after raising my first two mini schnauzers, BB & Jackson. Now with Schnauzers (3) Malla, (4) Kenobi, and (5) Leia in my life I started to breed again.
  • What makes your program special?

We raise the litters as they were members our family until they are prepared and ready to be part of yours. The dam is given both prenatal & postnatal vitamins to ensure the best possible outcome throughout the entire process. Both dam & sire have been Embark tested revealing they are 100% Miniature Schnauzers, and are not at an increased risk(clear results) for any of the 273 genetic health conditions that Embark tests for.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include white and liver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Michael was very good to work with. We had never adopted a Miniature Schnauzer before but Michael was a wealth of information and very patiently answered all my questions. Michael sent us many pictures of our puppy with his mother and father and siblings. They were all very well cared for. Ultimately we adopted Monty, who was 10 weeks old when we brought him home. He has been a joy, and is a beautiful healthy dog who fits in wonderfully in our home. Michael also helped us be driving halfway between his Florida home and our home in Georgia to facilitate our puppy pick up. I recommend Michael as a knowledgeable, responsible, caring, and helpful breeder.
