Q. & A. with Angel
Why did you start breeding?
The first part of my pack began with 2 male goldens. I have always wanted to breed my own, and a few years later, I went back to the breeder and purchased two females, and that's how it all began. When I see the looks on people's faces and bonds being made at first sight, it's heart-warming because you know how much of a treat they are in for! seeing how they impact the lives of others
What makes your program special?
At Retrievers Gold AZ, we’re proud to offer a Golden Retriever breeding program that stands out for its consistency, dedication, and heart. What sets us apart is not only our passion for the breed, but the proven quality we’ve built over time. With three outstanding males from our own previous breedings, our program is rooted in generations of carefully selected, well-tempered, and structurally sound Golden Retrievers. Our dogs are more than just pedigrees; they're part of our family. We prioritize health, temperament, and breed standard, ensuring that each litter reflects the best qualities the Golden Retriever is known for: loyalty, intelligence, and a calm, loving nature. Because we've built our foundation from within, our lines are remarkably consistent, producing puppies that are predictable in look, temperament, and trainability. Whether you're looking for a loyal companion, a confident therapy dog, or a show-quality retriever, our program offers a level of care and quality that shines through in every puppy we raise.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

We adopted Russell and named him Vail. He is a gorgeous healthy puppy and growing fast. So far he hates being crated and screeches whenever he is left alone but in every other way he is an angel and loves his big brother who is 18 months and 70 pounds. They romp like lunatics, which is fun to watch.
