Meet the breeder

I'm Camille G., the breeder behind Riesenschnauzers von Reh Bach located in Noel, MO. We raise, train, compete, and use our Giants in law enforcement. Our Giants are true working dogs, from generations of working dogs. They're mentally stable, athletic, and very trainable. They excel in nose work/tracking. Our dogs are used by police depts, compete in IPO and AKC sport events.

Q. & A. with Camille

  • Why did you start breeding?

I spent two years looking for my first Giant. There were a lot of breeders claiming they had working dogs, but their dogs did not have jobs, and you had to look several generations back to find a working dog, and then it was only in IGP/IPO. I wanted to produce working dogs here in the U.S., so people could come and see the pups in person, and see what real German working lines look like.
  • What makes your program special?

My dogs have jobs, and so do many of their full siblings, who also work for police depts or do security work. I want dogs that can compete on the field, and also withstand the stress and dangers of the real world and keep their head about them. My goal is to produce healthy pups, with rock solid temperaments that can face any challenge thrown at them and excel.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Camille

Camille has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Camille partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

"I can't stress enough how the number one priority in placement is that they go to a forever home. For that reason, we will ask a lot of questions about your hike environment, what your goals are for this pup, your experience with dogs, and if you've done any training or would be willing to commit to getting a professional to help if needed. These puppies were started with Puppy Culture. I take copious amounts of notes on each puppy from birth, so I understand their personality and behaviors. As they get to five weeks, I start introducing more challenges for them, to allow them to show their differences. By six weeks I am able to start the matching process based upon all the factors and needs of the new owner. I accept deposits prior to this, in order for new owners to get priority for their type of dog. These are working bred pups, from actual working dogs, not show and performance pets. Most of this litter will be well suited for personal protection, IGP, etc. "
