We love what we do and are committed to producing well-bred, healthy puppies for loving homes. We are dog lovers through and through! Our pups are such an important part of our lives, and we can’t imagine being without them. Brandy has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Ichthyosis, Golden Retriever Type
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

I had such a great experience working with Brandy, and her family, at Rigdon Retrievers. She kept me updated on the litter and sent weekly pictures. I was invited to visit and view the retreat as well as spend time with the puppies. She took the time to learn about our family and used that info to help choose the best match for us. I had an amazing experience with Rigdon Retrievers! Brandy was incredibly responsive and answered any and all questions I had. You can tell they take this job really seriously and really take care of their dogs. Brandy was a joy to work with throughout the entire process. She sent weekly updates until pick up, helped us feel connected to the litter, and gave helpful tips along the way. She assigns puppies based on temperament, and I believe that is a huge reason she has so much success as a breeder. Her welcome packet is extraordinarily helpful and the pups are vaccinated(x1) and chipped for their trip home!! All of the puppies in the Mayberry litter have a great temperament with a variety of energy levels, but we wanted the highest energy pup she had. We lucked out - Little Aunt Bee, now Delilah, is the perfect addition to our family and has exactly the high energy, playful temperament we needed for our active lifestyle (and she is a GREAT little sister to another high energy golden). We LOVE our puppy so much and I cannot recommend Rigdon Retrievers enough!!

+4The puppy process from beginning to end was truly amazing with Rigdon Retrievers! We had an on-site meet and greet while the puppies were younger to play and meet the parents of the litter which was so helpful and allowed us to see their personalities. Brandy was wonderful to communicate with, and sent regular photos and updates along the way until it was time to take home our pups. She and her sweet family then met us to hand off the puppies to make our trip shorter. My friend and I ended up getting sisters from the same litter, and it has been such a joy to know they came from a place like Rigdon where they had constant love and great guidance in their first 9 weeks of life. So far, my golden puppy Mango has been nothing but sweet and loving, and she gets along great with our older golden retrievers. She has been the best addition to the family we could ever imagine! Thank you Rigdon for being awesome and making the process so personal and stress free. :)
