I'm Carter M., the breeder behind Rise and Shine Kennels located in Glenn Heights, TX. We love this breed and our ultimate goal is to improve it. We breed for structure and temperament. Most of our puppies go to active pet homes or sporting homes.

Why did you start breeding?
I fell in love with Tervs quite some time ago, and the amount of ethical Tervuren breeders is surprisingly low in the US. That led to me wanting to do my part in preserving my favorite breed.What makes your program special?
We raise our puppies with ENS/ESI, and puppy enrichment protocol. Our litters get adjusted by a veterinary chiropractor 3-4 times before go home at 10-12 weeks. We firmly believe it does amazing things for nerve growth and development.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Belgian Tervuren puppies include mahogany and black and fawn and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Carter

"The price includes limited AKC registration, multiple dewormings with a recent fecal before go home, at least one round of vaccines with my veterinarian becore they leave my care, and a clean bill of health. Puppies are raised using Suzanne Clothiers puppy enrichment protocol, as well as ENS and ESI. The deposit goes towards the cost of your puppy."

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
