I'm Halee F., the breeder behind River City Goldens located in Jacksonville, FL. We are passionate about the health and well-being of Golden’s, and it is our goal to provide each puppy that leaves our care with a solid foundation of good health, neurological development, and love. Our furbabies are our family and are treated as such. Puppies are born in our bedroom and raised under foot in our home. All puppies are raised with ENS, ESI and sensory curriculum to create a well rounded puppy. Many families are amazed how intelligent these puppies are once they go home. Why did you start breeding?
Since I was a little girl I loved the idea of puppies. I watched 101 dalmatians too many times to count. I figured whatever I decided to do later in life had to involve dogs. When I brought Ember home I had no clue how much I would love her. I had the opportunity to breed her and give that same love to other families. And so River City Golden's was created from the bond a girl and her dog shares.What makes your program special?
My goal in raising litters of Golden Retrievers has always been to put the dogs first. No exceptions. I dedicate all my love, attention and finances to creating happy, well-rounded puppies. There really is no profit in dog breeding if you do it right. This is an act of love through and through. After finding Jeanette Forrey's Ultimate Badass Breeder Guide I found that I could help pave the way on how dog breeding should be done and puppies raised. So I pour my heart and soul into ENS, ESI, and Curriculum to produce the best puppies I can.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are dark golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

About Oliver
Oliver is my home bred and raised stud. He’s the goofiest boy. He always aims to please, as any Golden should. He was born to swim and he’ll cuddle with anyone who will take him. As per usual with big dogs he thinks he’s a Chihuahua. Everyone who has met him has instantly fallen in love. He’s passed his charisma and good looks onto all of his puppies.

About Rogue
Rogue is perhaps the sweetest golden I’ve ever met. She adores everyone and loves to be part of everything we do. Her love for her family is only second to her toys. She comes from an accomplish sire with plenty of field titles. She’s has his enthusiasm when it comes to any outdoor event. She has scored an Excellent OFA Hip Dysplasia rating, meaning she is in the top 5.7% of best hips out of over 188,000 Golden Retriever’s tested and scored through the OFA. All her testing is available to review under her profile or you can send me a request for it. She’s only 55lbs making a perfect mid size companion. All her past puppies had the best dispositions I’ve personally ever raised.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

We were so lucky to find Halee when we were looking for our furrever golden. She quickly responded to any inquiry we ever had. She sent updates and photos at least once a week. It is clear that this is her passion. Halee spent every day introducing her puppies to life’s expectancies. She outlined each week what the puppies were learning. She exposed them to situations such as loud noises (ie vacuum cleaners,hair dryers, fireworks…), children at play, cats and other dogs, crate training with times in isolation and very importantly she had them well on their way to mastering where they should potty. Halle was my first time I actually purchased a dog.
