I'm Kelly R., the breeder behind River Doodles located in Brea, CA. River Doodles is not a kennel, but a home. Our pups are raised in our home until they leave and become part of your family. At River Doodles we do extensive health & temperament testing of our parent dogs before they are considered for our breeding program. They have many tests they have to pass in order to meet River Doodles' high breeding standards. Our dogs are not kenneled and raise happy, well-adjusted pups.

What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Bernedoodle puppies include medium and standard sizes. Goldendoodle puppies include petite, miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Bernedoodle puppies are tri-color. Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, red, chocolate, phantom, merle, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Kelly has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Kelly partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Includes a health certificate, Info folder with vaccinations, microchip, parents' health certifications, a 2-year health guarantee, and a blanket that smells of mom. The puppy will be doggie door trained. The reservation fee is deducted from the balance owed. Reservation details can be found on the Prices and Policy page of our site.”

Yumi, which means beauty and abundance in Japanese, is a gentle soul. She is more than content to just relax at home with her human family. Yumi is the happiest simply being wherever or doing whatever her family is doing. All she wants is to be a good girl- obedient, patent, and is always just a head-rub away. She is the daughter of Tarna, a Bernese Mountain Dog, that we directly imported from Hungary due to the longer life genetic lines! Yumi is genetically health tested through parentage for genetic diseases.

Chips is such a gentle giant and a big lap dog. He loves just laying by his 2 legged brother and sister as they play. Chips always gets attention as a beautiful dog and nice pats on the head when he is out on walks. He just makes everyone smile with his goofiness and gentleness. Chips is just a big love. He is fully health tested by OFA for hips and the full panel of genetic diseases for bernedoodles.

Roe is our dog that thinks she is human. She just looks at you with those big eyes and seems to know exactly what we are thinking or saying. Nothing makes her more happy than just being by our side, whether reading a book or going for a run. Roe, and all our parent dogs, are fully health tested through OFA for their hips, and genetic tested for the complete goldendoodle disease panel.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1B), Bernese Mountain Dog Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
