I'm Carla S., the breeder behind Riverside Tollers located in Saginaw, MN. We are dedicated to breeding a versatile Toller that is a great representative of the breed, being structurally sound, healthy and having a good mind and the drive to retrieve. Our dog’s bloodlines have excelled in many sports from agility and obedience, to scent work and dock diving.
Q. & A. with Carla
Why did you start breeding?
The breeder we acquired our first Toller from became a very good friend and mentor to us over the years, and made sure we had some great dogs from her bloodlines to breed with. She instilled the importance of preserving the breed’s original purpose, while breeding for a conformationally correct and healthy dog that can do it all.
What makes your program special?
Our own Tollers are hunted with and proven in a variety of events/sports. We strive to produce a healthy dog with a good mind, solid temperament, sound conformation and a strong drive to retrieve. We do all NSDTRC recommended health and DNA tests on our breeding dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
