Meet the breeder

I'm Samantha S., the breeder behind Riverstone Goldens located in Easton, PA. Our love for this breed led us to compete, hunt, and show their amazing talents through a number of various outlets. They've received many titles to go along with their health clearances and excellent demeanor. Our Goldens are the perfect addition to any loving home and we love sharing them with others.

Q. & A. with Samantha

  • Why did you start breeding?

My first golden retriever passed away before two years old from a disease called mega esophagus. His was genetic and took so many opportunities away from him. I did everything I could to save him, but in the end he still suffered and passed away in my arms. His “breeder” never responded or cared when I reached out. This experience drove my desire to be the breeder I am today. Producing healthy pups and being a lifetime support system for my buyers.
  • What makes your program special?

Puppies are raised with a program called AviDog which includes Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introductions. These programs help socialize, expose to gentle stressors, develop problem solving and adaptation skills, as well as build confidence. There are also studies that show improved health benefits as well such as improved immune response and circulation. All my puppies are started on potty and crate training. Puppies are dewormed at 2,4,6, and 8 weeks of age. Nomographs are done on my moms to determine how much antibodies the puppies receive and when the best time to vaccinate them is. This helps ensure the vaccines given are effective as well as helps us prevent over vaccinations. Puppies are taken to my vet before they go home to receive their first vaccine and health certificates. At pickup, new families receive custom bags with toys, poop bags, a bag of food they are currently on and a binder. Inside the binder is a copy of my contract, a copy of the nomograph, a vaccine schedule, training tips, grooming supplies and tips, coupons and much more.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
