I'm Edward P., the breeder behind Roch Dog Ranch located in Justin, TX. My family has been breeding dogs from the best bloodlines since the 1960s. We take great pride in our lines and our program! Our current pups descend from show Poodles. We have DNA test results for both our dam and sire and AKC pedigrees for both sides. They’ll make great hunting, show, service, and family pets.
Q. & A. with Edward
Why did you start breeding?
My mom fell in love with it from her mom and I fell in love with it from mine. I grew up helping dozens of litters over the years. When my mom passed away this year, I took over.
What makes your program special?
I went on leave at my main job when the dame was about to give birth. These pups have received round-the-clock love and care since birth.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include chocolate, black, merle, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Good level
Roch Dog Ranch reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Goldendoodles.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Ichthyosis, Golden Retriever Type
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), PRA, Golden Retriever 2, PRA, Golden Retriever 1, von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures (NEwS)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
