Meet the breeder

I'm Emily J., the breeder behind Rock Creek Doodles NC located in Whitsett, NC. Rock Creek Doodles is a family-based breeder in Whitsett, NC, specializing in Goldendoodle and Labradoodle Double Doodles. Raised on our family farm around our 5 children and everyday life, our puppies are thoughtfully bred for health, temperament, socialization, and loving family companionship.

Q. & A. with Emily

  • Why did you start breeding?

Breeding grew naturally from our love for our dogs and our family lifestyle. As our children grew up alongside our dogs, we saw the value of raising puppies in a home—not a kennel—where they experience structure, handling, and everyday life. That conviction led us to build a small, intentional program focused on health, temperament, and responsible family placement.
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies are raised as part of our family on a working homestead, not in isolation. With five children, open acreage, and other animals, puppies are gently exposed to a wide range of sights, sounds, and interactions. We prioritize health testing, thoughtful pairing, and intentional early experiences to prepare puppies for real family life.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include medium and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include cream, golden, brown, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Emily

Emily has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Emily partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We do not use a lottery system. Families may choose from available puppies based on the puppy they are most interested in, and a deposit reserves that puppy once we feel the family is a good fit for our program. As the puppies grow, we observe their temperament, personality, confidence, and energy level. Around five to six weeks, we have more detailed conversations with each family to make sure their chosen puppy appears to be a good match for their home and lifestyle. If we believe another puppy may be a better fit, we will discuss that honestly. Our goal is to place each puppy thoughtfully with the right family. Puppies go home at eight weeks old.”
