I'm Jeanne R., the breeder behind Roeboat Aussies located in Bixby, OK. Our dogs are bred with healthy, clear genetics, a strong OFA panel and excellent temperaments. They are both AKC and ASDR registerable. Many are from champion lines and a few of them have status in Rally and Confirmation in ASDR. Each puppy is treated like a member of our family and their well-being is priority. Matching a puppy to the right family is so important both for the puppy and the new family and we do our best to make that happen.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Our journey began several years ago when we fell in love with our first Toy Aussie girl. After extensive research and collaboration with other reputable breeders and mentors we began this exciting adventure. I am dedicated to learning the best of Breed Standard to produce quality Mini/Toy Australian Shepherds. These pups are our babies and we are committed to their life journey.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our pups are part of our family. They are socialized and handled by us, our kids and grandkids from birth. They are confident, affectionate, and are under vet care from birth. We don’t have a large number but each one is loved and cared for in preparation of their furever home.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include tiny and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Miniature American Shepherd puppies include red tri-color, black tri, red merle, and blue merle. Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle, black tri, red tri, and red merle. Toy Australian Shepherd puppies include black tri, blue merle, red merle, and red tri. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Jeanne

Jeanne has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jeanne partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“My grandkids are my barometer for how the puppy reacts to loud noises and a lot of activity. Most of my puppies are good natured, playful and very well socialized. If I have a puppy with a little extra energy I may opt for a family with a little bit older children. I do not place my puppies in an apartment setting unless there is a yard or trails nearby that can be verified. I always FaceTime with prospective owners so they can see the puppy in action and get to know me and my program. I want new puppy owners to feel confident when they bring their special one home for the first time. I spend a lot of time making sure everything goes smoothly. The most important thing is that your new puppy is the right fit and adds joy and blessing to your home for years to come.”

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes the guarantee, first round of vaccinations, full vet health check and fecal testing, deworming, microchip, AKC registration and fee and ASDR registration paperwork/AKC registration. Deposits are the same regardless of puppy.”

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Trying to find the right breeder to choose your next family pet from can be challenging. Our two full sized Aussies were getting close to their end days and we were trying to find toy sized Aussies because we were getting much older (despite having teenage kids). We are very glad to have found our pup through Jeanne and Roeboat Aussies. It was very apparent to my wife and me that Jeanne was quite committed to the highest quality of breeding standards and in providing a nurturing home for each batch of pups in preparation for them to be weened and ready to become part of a new family.     Jeanne was a pleasure to work with! When you speak with her about her puppies you can tell that she really cares about her puppies as if they were her very own. Jeanne knew that I was looking for a future sire for my tiny girls and worked with me on making sure that not only that he was what I was looking for but also that they were a genetic match. She was very accommodating when ever I asked for pictures and gave me frequent updates on how he was doing and how vet visits went.
