Q. & A. with Shannon

  • Why did you start breeding?

I grew up working on a horse farm assisting the breeder with the livestock and dogs and loved it! I enjoyed volunteering and helping breeders in my area and knew that I wanted to raise, train and work with Labs. I had a mentor that had been breeding Labs for 50 years coach me along the way on how to research pedigrees, traits, and genetics to produce top-notch Labs to compete in AKC/UKC events.
  • What makes your program special?

RBR breeds Quality over Quantity. We breed for exceptional trainability to produce the best family companion, service dog or duck/hunt test competitor. Our dogs are well known for their gentle demeanor but have the heart and drive to learn and retrieve competitively at the national level as well.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Labrador Retriever puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
