Q. & A. with Cassandra
Why did you start breeding?
My mom bred APBTs when I was young. I remember the very first litter I helped whelp and all of the hard work we put into raising the pups and ensuring they went to outstanding homes. I remember how proud I felt when those pups grew to be great examples of what an APBT should be inside the show ring AND at home. As time went on I fell in love with SBTs and I knew that was the breed for me!
What makes your program special?
I breed for health, function, and temperament. Temperament and health being my number one focus. I follow the health testing guidelines set by our breed club The SBTCA. I raise my puppies with the puppy culture training techniques, Avidog and closely study pedigrees to ensure that I am breeding stable dogs that exemplify the AKC breed standard for The Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
