I'm Sharla B., the breeder behind Rose Hill Havanese located in Mustang, OK. It is our goal to produce adorable, affectionate Havanese puppies that are healthy, even-tempered, and wonderful companions. We work hard to breed exemplary dogs that are well taken care of from day one, and are prepared to excel in loving and caring homes. Our puppies all go through ENS to further ensure they are well socialised. We love our dogs and puppies, and we know you will too!
Q. & A. with Sharla
Why did you start breeding?
When I fully retired, my husband and I began researching the havanese breed in-depth. At the time, there were few breeders in our area and it was difficult to find what we were looking for. We wanted a particular color, and there were none of quality in our area. We had to look and buy out of state.
What makes your program special?
We do health checks on our adult dogs. We check their eyes, their hips, and their patellas. We raise our puppies in our living room and handle them on a daily basis. We practice the ENS method of training with our puppies to give them the best shot at an even temperament. And we limit our dams to 3 litters before spaying, in order to give them a long healthy life after puppies<3
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, gold, chocolate, blue, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Sharla is great to work with and very knowledgeable about the breed. Our Havanese - Harper Quinn, is so loveable with a great personality plus she was very easy to train due to the early training and care received from Sharla. I would definitely work with her again. It's been almost two years and she is still interested to know how Harper is doing.
