I'm Matt R., the breeder behind Rosehaven Homestead located in Colville, WA. Our Rosehaven Goldens are raised blending goofy Golden temperament with good bones, good looks and great love. Parents 1st with excellent tested health pedigree and puppies whelped in the home covered in intentional ENS care, growing to be surrounded by homestead sights, and daily kid interaction.

Why did you start breeding?
Our oldest daughter loved the breed from the start and began researching on her own in her teen years, this landed the family into the world of Goldens and we've grown ever since with a love of strong family dogs and adventurous teddy bears the Golden have had a place on the Homestead for over 7 years.What makes your program special?
The Goldens have been a part of the family since 2018 and we've developed an eye for rich AKC pedigree and healthy pups while spending hours of intentional socialization for well rounded family pups.

Getting a puppy from Matt
Matt has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

"Our puppies go home after 8 weeks of love, completing a vet check, microchip, de-worming, vaccination, socialization. They receive our 2 health guarantees, puppy pack, and lifelong breeder support! . We ask for a non-refundable deposit to hold your puppy for you until they are ready to go home at 8 weeks of age. If something happens to your pup before pick-up we offer a full refund or another pup."

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
