I'm Ashley R., the breeder behind Rouse's Aussies located in Luzerne, IA. Our dogs are family members first and foremost. We're passionate, responsible breeders who truly love our dogs. We are excited to share that same love with you! We breed as a hobby and are determined to provide the best dogs! We look forward to connecting you with your new Miniature Australian Shepherd.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We wanted to put our passion for Miniature Australian Shepherds to good use. Breeding healthy, happy puppies is our way to give back to the breed and the families who love them. We want nothing more than to see each of our dogs and puppies shine.

  • What makes your program special?

    By creating an environment of health and harmony for young puppies, we believe we are able to give each little pup the very best chance to reach its potential, express its best character, and bring forth its greatest gifts in the relationship with itself and to its family.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black tri, blue merle, red merle, and red tri. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Ashley

Ashley has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $400 non-refundable deposit and between $800 - $2,600 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Please do NOT send a deposit tell we have had a chance to speak. Also do NOT send a deposit unless you have transportation. Transportation is the sole responsibility of the buyer NOT the breeder.”

Contract & health guarantee

Ashley may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Animal Genetics Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
