Why did you start breeding?
I have always had a love for dogs. When I got my first Shar Pei, Otis, I was hooked. I was amazing by how many things you can do with Shar Pei to give them a well rounded life style and we instantly fell in love. I had always had rescues will unpredictable health, behavior, life expectancies and maintenance requirements. I want to contribute to the predictability of well-bred purebreds.What makes your program special?
My dogs are CHIC certified through OFA, shown and worked as well as being staples in our family. My breeding program is based around health, conformation and longevity of the breed. They are my life and I enjoy the lifestyle of loving and living purebred dogs. My enjoyment stems from them having full and happy lives and enjoying my free time with them.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Puppy prices include a $1,500 non-refundable deposit and $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“12 weeks of Puppy Culture, 3 Rounds of Vaccinations, Deworming, Vet health certificate, AKC registration, House Trained, Puppy Starter Pack, Microchipped. I do not accept deposits until the puppies 2 weeks old. Then, once the puppies are show evaluated and temperament tested the puppies are matched based on personality and drive to corresponding homes.”

Litter update on 12 Aug. •…The Sailors 🇺🇸 ⚓️ are 6 weeks old!! They have gotten so big and confident in the last week! We are officially puppies growing into our own looks and personalities!! They have now conquered the stairs on the back deck and are going #2 exclusively outside! They are transitioning to crunchy kibble and will start individual crate training soon! Program update on 11 Aug. •…The Sailors 🇺🇸 ⚓️ went to the vet! Today they got their first round of DA2PP vaccines 💉, deworming and got their microchips 💊 implanted! They weigh between 7.2 - 9.7 pounds. Everyone behaved amazingly. Individual pictures will be posted on Monday as they turn 6 weeks old! Litter update on 11 Aug. •…The Sailors are 5 weeks old!! ⚓️🇺🇸 We are running around, eating mush, started going to the bathroom outside and completely weaned off Tortuga 🏴☠️. They will be getting their first vet check, first round of vaccines and their microchips implanted Friday! I will post a vet picture on Friday. They are developing and growing up nice, I can't wait to see them at 8 weeks! They are getting their own unique personalities and gaining their confidence. Litter update on 29 July •…My Sailors are 4 weeks old and turning into puppies!! 💝🥰🥺😭 In birth order with their stacking pictures: Seal 🦭, Jet ✈️, Angel 😇, Liberty 🗽 and Buoy 🛟. This is the first time attempting baby stacks and they did so well! We are having fun in the grass going outside to potty train and our extended whelping pen! We are taking to the litter well, eating mush like crazy, licking, biting and fighting. They grow bigger and stronger everyday. I cannot wait to see them continue to develop! Watch out, the Sailors are coming! ⚓️🇺🇸

Litter update on 15 July •…The Sailors are 2 weeks old!! 🥰🥳🤩🎉 I am now accepting deposits on this litter. I have a couple spots left for males, if you are interested please message me and we can begin the application process! 💝😁 Everyone is doing great, eyes are starting to crack and alligator walking! We are definitely finding our voice and like to yell at our brothers and sisters! Tortuga 🏴☠️ is doing amazing and being the best mom I could ask her to be, she loves her babies so much! The Sailors are definitely starting to look more individual, Josh and I can tell them apart without their collars. About Tortuga
Tortuga is the outline of a Shar Pei and has proven that with a very respectable show record. She has also proven to be a versatile Shar Pei by doing well with performance and temperament titles. She is our sons best friend and a well rounded member of our family.

Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Shar-Pei Autoinflammatory Disease, Primary Lens Luxation (PLL), Primary Open Angle Glaucoma and Primary Lens Luxation (POAG/PLL), Shar-Pei Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
