I'm Amber J., the breeder behind RRDanes located in Peoria, IL. RR Danes breeds to better the Great Dane breed in the areas of conformation, temperament, and service dog capabilities. We are a family-owned business transferring into a non-for-profit business that helps donate and train service dogs for veterans and people with disabilities.
Q. & A. with Amber
Why did you start breeding?
I retired from being a vet tech because of health reasons. I decided I still wanted to help animals and people through breeding and training Danes. Danes helped me through my health issues and they make great service dogs for people with disabilities and veterans.
What makes your program special?
I feel that our program is special because we not only breed for pets and companions, but for service dogs that can help people.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
