I'm Sheralyn B., the breeder behind Rubys Corgis located in Weston, ID. Our number one goal is to give our puppies the best start possible. This begins with selecting parents that are healthy and well mannered.
When the puppies arrive, we focus on providing them with a clean and safe environment to help them grow and learn to become good dog citizens.
Q. & A. with Sheralyn
Why did you start breeding?
I started breeding corgis because I love my dogs and I wanted to provide other families the opportunity to learn about the love of a dog. I got my first puppy 12 years ago. The loyalty, love and support she has given me are priceless. I wanted to give others the opportunity to have a dog as a family member. Giving our puppies the best start possible, allows them to live their best life with you.
What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is individualized for each female and litter. Each dog and puppy gets hands on love and attention every day. We are a small farm where our dogs live romping and playing in the sagebrush. We genetically test our dogs to ensure we are producing healthy puppies. We also work closely with our Veterinarian to ensure our dogs and puppies are healthy.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in a kennel on my property.

Sheralyn was responsive and found the perfect match to our family! Our little girl has settled in with our boys just perfectly and I couldn’t imagine our family without her.

Well, I know this is all about Sheralyn, but I have to start by saying she gave me the best, the prettiest, the most well behaved puppy in the world. Does everyone say that? Seriously, Sheralyn is great to deal with. She answers questions very promptly and is very understanding with all change of plan matters. She has this wonderful instagram page where you can watch videos of the puppies in the litter and I was glued to it for days before I picked my (best puppy in the world) puppy. One of the most important things to me was how well the puppies were socialized.....goats, chickens, children, walks, other dogs, different surfaces. Zin received a blanket made by Sheralyn's mother in law which had Hazel's and her siblings's scent on it. She was very attached to that blanket in the first couple of days when things were a little scary. Zin has been a little champion with everything she meets (same thing: dogs..horses.... chickens...cows.... and a very grumpy cat) since she came home. She has even won over the cat. I believe temperament is all important in dogs and Hazel's temperament is awesome: totally friendly and outgoing. I recommend Sheralyn and her puppies very highly.

I had a great experience with Rubys. They were very accessible and accommodating. The week I went to go pick up my dog there was an huge snowstorm and they were very understanding with shifts in pick up. I haven’t noticed any shifts in health or temperament since pick up. I liked that they supplied us with a blanket as well as some of his previous food.

Highly recommend Ruby's Corgi's and Sheralyn! I had a wonderful experience with her from the minute I messaged her about interest to the moment my puppy came home. She was willing to hold onto my puppy for a few weeks while I finished some travels plans. In the meantime, she started crate training, socializing him more and sent me daily updates! Had no issues with communucation and Sheralyn answered all my questions. She set me with with a great flight nanny who equally ensured my puppy was safe and got to me with no issues. Bowie (formally Pina Colada) is the sweetest and cutest puppy. All I could have asked for in a puppy and Sheralyn was great to work with! Definitely recommend Ruby's Corgi for your next corgi pup!

Sheralyn was quick to respond to all of our questions and provided all of the resources we asked for. She was very flexible in her timing for us to pick up our puppy and offered advice as to when we should pick him up. She made sure our puppy was bathed and gave us the kindest goody bag for our puppy when we picked him up. Sheralyn genuinely cares about the dogs she breeds, and the puppies that she looks over. It’s evident by the care she puts in to find good homes for them. We love our puppy and really loved our experience with Sheralyn and Ruby’s Corgis!
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
