I'm BRIAN M., the breeder behind Rufus's Raiders located in Leonardtown, MD. My puppies are bred for health, conformation, intelligence and temperament. They are worked with daily to provide good exercise, sharpened mental awareness, and social skills with the goal of providing puppies that bring their forever families many years of joy and laughter.

Why did you start breeding?
My sister Cathy Martin had been breeding miniature schnauzers for over 40 years. When she convinced me to start breeding them, I had always been a lover of the breed so it made perfect sense. I started breeding about 5 years ago utilizing her eagerness to share with me her vast wealth of knowledge of the breed and excellent breeding program standards.What makes your program special?
I have only one sire and three dams that live in the home with me. They have their own Futon in the living room, full run of the house and a fenced yard with a doggie door. I take pride in my breeding stock, and look nation wide until I find the perfect fit for my breeding dogs. They must have a good disposition and bloodline, along with the genetic traits for color(s) and size of dog sought. All my dogs are kept inside with full run of the house as well as 24 hr access to a fenced yard. They are fed only quality dog food(s) along with fresh meats(usually boiled chicken). All of my puppies come with AKC registration, 30 days of free health insurance, health exam from my Veterinarian, health guarantee, dew claws removed and tails docked, regular de-worming and up to date vaccines. I send each puppy to their new home with a toy which has been in with the entire litter and mom as well as a small bag of the food they’ve been raised on.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include parti, liver, salt and pepper, black and silver, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
