  • Why did you start breeding?

    I started breeding Corgis because of my love for their playful nature and loyal companionship. I wanted to help others experience the joy these amazing dogs bring by raising healthy, happy puppies that make perfect lifelong friends.

  • What makes your program special?

    From birth, each puppy receives comprehensive socialization and attentive nurturing to ensure they develop into well-adjusted, healthy companions. This personalized approach, combined with a dedication to ethical breeding practices, allows us to produce Corgis that thrive in loving, lifelong homes.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black and tan and white and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Maiya

Maiya has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Maiya partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $550 - $2,250 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    I had such a great experience with Maiya. She was always quick to reply to my questions and so kind. Maiya was amazing at keeping me updated with pics and videos, I never had to ask! She always gave me a weekly update which helped me feel connected through the process. You can tell she really loves these pups and works with them. The pick up was super easy and she was very flexible. My new pup has a great personality. He is very curious, cuddly, playful, and so loving. He is also so adorable! He’s a great looking pup, I can see such a resemblance between him and Tallie. I thought Tallie was such a great looking girl so I am very happy about that. The process was just so easy and if I ever decide on a 2nd pup, I would without a doubt use Maiya again.

    Maiya was such a pleasure to work with and I couldn't be happier. We were looking for another corgi to give our boy a little brother. Maiya is very knowledgeable and knows the breed so well, she kept us updated with pics and videos about the puppy's growth and progress. Felt like I was along for the puppy's life since the beginning. I cannot recommend Maiya enough, if you are looking for an amazing breeder in New Mexico, maiya is the person to go to.     We were looking to add to our family and get our Corgi Chloe a companion to play with. We found our way to Maiya from Ruidoso's Crowned Companions via the Corgi's of New Mexico Facebook page. From first contact with Maiya she was super responsive and great to work with. She informed us about her upcoming litter and the process required to get a puppy. Maiya provided weekly if not more often updates during the pregnancy process and post-delivery. Using the Good dog App it was very easy to make the deposit and communicate with Maiya. She continuously posted pictures and videos so we were able to see our puppy grow and develop from birth until we were able to take him home at eight weeks-old. We are super happy to have added our new puppy to our family and our Corgi Chloe is growing very fond of him as well.     Maiya was absolutely wonderful! She has a deep passion for the breed and is very willing to share her knowledge. It was very easy to communicate with her and she was always very responsive. I loved the updates and pictures she continually sent through the weeks of the puppies growth. It made me feel that I was indeed part of the pups family.
