Q. & A. with Dean
Why did you start breeding?
I first fell in love with Great Danes thirty years ago and have had several danes over the years. I knew I wanted to do what I could to help this breed. Our daughter got involved in conformation showing along with Junior Showmanship. Of course we were there to support her and have taken over showing while she is away at college. I became an AKC Junior Showmanship judge and have been taking breed training from our national club's, GDCA, judges education program. We joined local breed and all-breed clubs and the rest is history. We are planning our first litter in the spring of 2021 and are looking forward to the experience of breeding. We are lucky to have experienced friends in Danes and other breeds that have been mentoring us in all aspects of breeding and puppy care.
What makes your program special?
Our program focuses on health, structure and temperament. We stay involved in our breed clubs so we are up to date on the most recent developments in the breed.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include harlequin, mantle, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
