At Rustic Farm and Kennels, we are a proud dog breeder based in central New York with a focus on producing versatile family & working dogs. We believe strongly in maintaining our responsibilities as a ethical breeder, taking the extra steps to ensure the puppies have the best start possible!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I started with in hunting bred beagles and quickly learned the difference between "ethical" breeders and those who do or pair anything for a quick profit, simply breeding anything with a nose could track a rabbit.. We strive to breed the best dogs possible, educate their new owners and ensure these wonderful dogs get the love, care and attention they need to become a well-mannered dogs!
  • What makes your program special?

    Our end goal being not swayed to one end or the other of the great "show Vs. Work" line debate of dogs. We simply breed for our need of versatile, easy to train, stable minded family working dogs that boast structure to continue enjoying working for a long time! We offer results of all our breed specific health testing to all our applicants! We breed dogs that can WORK & keep on for a lifetime!!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include 13-inch and 15-inch sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black tan and white, black tan and redtick, black fawn and white, red and black, red and white, lemon and white, and black tan and bluetick. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Susan

Susan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $50 non-refundable deposit and between $250 - $750 final payment, before taxes & fees.
