I'm Lana K., the breeder behind Rustic Road Doodles located in Mecklenburg County, NC. For my family, our dogs are such an important part of our lives, and we can’t imagine being without them. We match our puppies and families with the expectation that they will enrich each other’s lives for the lifetime of the pet. It’s an amazing experience as breeders to provide others with Goldendoodle puppies that we know will bring them the same joy!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have always been passionate about the well-being of animals. I wanted to put my passion to good use! It's been a joyful commitment, and it is a pleasure to live with, work with, and share with others these wonderful dogs.

  • What makes your program special?

    I pay careful attention to both temperament and structure. I strive to produce sweet, biddable, and healthy family dogs. My dogs are an integral part of my family and daily life. This creates the ideal environment for puppies. From birth, they grow in a secure, loving environment where they know that they matter to their family -- that they have a purpose. I am confident that each pup will become a treasured family member!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Lana

Lana has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Contract & health guarantee

Lana may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Lana offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Lana directly.

    A success story from the very first text to the first photos from Lainey’s (Luna) new home. I reached out to Lana and she was so forthcoming, which helped as this was a sight unseen deal for the most part. She sent us photos right away and offered to FaceTime us, which we did and saw Lainey playing and interacting with other puppies. To beat the upcoming NC/NJ snow storm, we flew into Charlotte, met Lana and Lainey in the airport, and then jumped back on a flight to NJ. We exchanged photos and videos of Lainey’s new life in NJ with Lana as well. We couldn’t have asked for a better pup “mom” than Lana, she was professional, personable, and reassuring throughout the entire process. Add to that, Lainey has only had one accident and that was probably on our end - she’s hit the bathroom pad every time and I attribute that to Rustic Road’s attention to detail and love for their puppies. We highly recommend Lana and Rustic Road Doodles as they’re amazing from start to finish.

    Lana, at Rustic Road Doodles is a reputable dog breeder and a breeder that is concerned with the betterment of a breed. Their breeding seasons are meticulously planned to match genetically superior female dogs and male dogs to give birth to healthy puppies with the desired traits of their breed. My wife and I recently picked up a sweet and gentle puppy named "Buddy", he is very low keyed and an absolute joy to be around. Lana, made the hold adoption process quite simple. Lana was attentive and her response time was within hours of our inquiry. These doodles are well worth the money as they will provide many years of enjoyment to the family. If I am ever considering another puppy at a future date, I would definitely come back to Rustic Road Doodles again.
