I'm Matt P., the breeder behind Ruthy's Bernedoodles located in Tomball, TX. Welcome to Ruthy’s Bernedoodles. Ruthy and Bear are both our personal pets who we love so dearly. In addition to our 2 Bernedoodles, we also have a German Shepherd named Chewie, a Bichon Frise named Coconut and we have 2 kids. My Dad had a Bernese Mountain Dog named Pedro as a kid who was extremely loyal and his best friend. My wife and I were interested in the breed but without all of the shedding that comes along it. We researched Bernedoodles and fell in love with them. Our Bernedoodles Ruthy and Bear have an amazing temperament, are loyal to a fault and are emotionally intelligent. They also have the added benefit of being hypoallergenic due to the fact that they don’t shed. Bernedoodles are also much less prone to health defects related to purebred Bernese Mountain Dogs and Poodles. This is Ruthy’s first litter and the puppies available in the future will be limited to once a year as we want her to have plenty of rest and recovery between pregnancies. We ran a full panel of Embark For Breeders DNA testing on both Ruthy and Bear prior to breeding them to ensure they were free of any potential health issues that could be passed down to the puppies. During the pregnancy, we had a vet on call who performed a wellness check on Ruthy and had an x-ray performed to ensure the health of Ruthy and that all of the puppies would be born safely. Each puppy has been given their first Parvo and Distemper vaccines, along with a dewormer and we had a wellness check performed on each of them by a vet who verified that they are all healthy. Ruthy’s puppies are already a big part of our family and we look forward to them being a part of yours.

About Ruthy
Even before Ruthy had puppies, she acted like she was the mom of our house. Anytime she hears something happen to my wife or I or our kids, she rushes to our side to check in on us. Whenever someone is sick in the family, she doesn't want to leave our side and will check in on us constantly until we recover. She is extremely loyal and loving and is emotionally intelligent. When her first litter of puppies were born a couple months ago, she instantly went into mom mode with them, and was consistently there for them whenever they needed her.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
