I'm Katie L., the breeder behind Sage Mountain Springers located in Christiansburg, VA. These are trained puppies. They are housetrained, leash-trained, crate-trained, trained to sit, come, lie down, and stay. They are socialized to other animals and people and children. They can ride in a car. They have been trained using positive reinforcement. All of these dogs have foundational training in Nosework, Agility, and Obedience. I am looking for homes that are committed to continuing this training. The health of our dogs always comes first. We're committed to ethical breeding & a continued effort to enhance the breed standard. As breeders, we are very selective in our breeding decisions. We prioritize maintaining a manageable breeding program to allow individual socialization of each puppy. PLEASE NOTE: The English Springer Spaniel is a sporting breed designed for assistance in hunting. Therefore, these dogs thrive on significant exercise. A large fenced yard and daily walks (preferably off leash) are a must. This breed will not do well in apartment-style living nor kept on a leash all of the time.
