Meet the breeder

I'm Kayla N., the breeder behind Sahara’s Danes located in Salem, OR. I’m dedicated to providing each family with their wonderful pet. Every puppy receives constant care, affection, training and socialization. My puppies are raised in my home and are socialized with young children and other animals that reside with me. My focus is health and temperament.

Q. & A. with Kayla

  • Why did you start breeding?

My interest in breeding started through my love for the Great Dane breed and wanting to learn everything I could about them. Over time, I became passionate about responsible breeding, health, temperament, and giving puppies the best possible start before joining their forever homes.
  • What makes your program special?

My breeding program focuses on raising healthy, well socialized Great Dane puppies with loving temperaments. Each puppy is raised as part of the family and receives individual attention, early socialization, and plenty of care before joining their forever homes.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include mantle merle, harlequin, mantle, merle, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Kayla

Kayla has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Kayla partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“All pet homes are required to spay or neuter their puppy by 2 years of age. This means the procedure must be completed within the year of their second birthday, unless otherwise discussed for medical reasons. While not required, I strongly prefer homes with a secure yard to accommodate the needs of a large breed like a Great Dane. I do take placement seriously and will ask additional questions to ensure each puppy is going to the right environment. Please understand that these dogs are a lifetime commitment. They are not temporary or situational pets. If life changes such as moving occur, your dog should always remain a part of your family. Bringing one of these puppies home means committing to them for their entire life, not just when it is convenient.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $200 refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $1,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“First round of vaccines, deworming and microchip are included. Limited AKC rights unless otherwise stated. You may place a refundable deposit on puppy to secure a specific puppy.”
