I'm Michelle, the breeder behind Sanctus German Shepherds located in Florida. We are no longer breeding at this time. Each litter has been planned in advance using a chosen high quality, healthy stud with a temperament that compliments our dam. With each litter, we hope to produce the best German Shepherds possible to help strengthen the German Shepherd breed.

Why did you start breeding?
As a kid growing up we always had German Shepherd dogs. I was always with them, as far back as I remember I have always wanted to raise my own German Shepherds. When I was 12 I took my first dog through obedience training courses and earned the nickname, “Doggy Momma” a nickname that has stuck for life.What makes your program special?
Our dogs are our family, their happiness and health comes first and foremost. Because of this, Artemis retired at the age of 6, after having 2 litters, and Alice unfortunately did not pass OFA certification, thus she is not breed-able. Our family is very happy, so we will not be adding any more dogs at this time, which means we do not have any breeding females and are not currently breeding.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are sable. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Alice
Alice is a female German Shepherd. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Michelle decided to make her part of their program. Michelle has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
