Q. & A. with James
Why did you start breeding?
18 yrs ago we found a blue Great Dane available near our home. Having been in love with the breed for a lifetime jumped at the opportunity to own my own. Immediately falling in love with the pup and finding an even deeper love and respect for the breed. After much thought decided to put all that love into our own program.
What makes your program special?
First and most important the love and care we give to our dogs of all ages. Our breeder support and the ability to communicate with our buyers.Being available 24/7 . Always keeping them up to date on what’s going on and also what is upcoming. Sending pics and videos to show growth and development. Phone conversations or FaceTime to get to know our buyers. Making sure all questions are answered.Giving our full attention to each individual explaining our program how our process works and always going the extra mile to help with whatever’s needed for a lifetime.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include mantle merle, black and white, chocolate, brindle, fawn, blue, harlequin, mantle, merle, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

James was incredible through this whole experience. You can really tell that he puts a lot of care and attention into his pups. We received numerous updates, and he was more than happy to provide pictures and videos when we asked. We chose to drive from FL to GA for a meet up point and he was very gracious to do that for us! Our pup will be a great addition to our family and we are grateful that we got her from Sand Mountain!

I had the privilege of working with Sand Mountain Danes and the experience was nothing short of outstanding. From the very first interaction, their professionalism and dedication to the breed were clear. They provided comprehensive information about the bloodlines, health testing, and the specific needs of Great Danes, which gave us confidence in our decision.
Our Great Dane puppy has been a perfect addition to our family. She arrived healthy, with up-to-date vaccinations and a full health record. The breeder went above and beyond, offering ongoing support and answering any questions we had, even after bringing our puppy home.
I can’t recommend Sand Mountain Danes enough for anyone looking for a top-quality Great Dane. Their knowledge, passion, and commitment to responsible breeding are unparalleled. If you want a healthy, well-adjusted, and loving Great Dane, this is the breeder to trust. A truly 5-star experience all around! Thanks you again James!!!

Wonderful! I’ve had Murphy since the end of March of 23. My boy just turned 2 January 27th! James and his wife were absolutely amazing. They were great with communication, (and still are to this day!) honest, polite people! Very well bred dogs! It was so hard to find a breeder that actually knows the breed! Very trustworthy people. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for your next fur baby!! I will definitely be back for another one in a few years!

I contacted James with little knowledge about reputable breeders and how purchasing from a breeder works. I was definitely nervous but he made every step of the way easy & answered absolutely any question I had. He’s very responsive and takes such good care of the pups.

I loved working with James! Him and his family take extremely great care of their Great Danes. It was very easy to work with him, the communication was awesome. I loved getting pupdates of my beautiful boy every week. From day one to drop off day, there were no issues or miscommunication and I feel that's important when you are buying a doggo through an online app, when there are so many scammers and people that will take advantage of someone who doesn't know any better. In the end I got a big, beautiful, healthy, puppy, and we're all SO happy. I give big thanks to James and his family, and would most definitely work with them again in the future.
