I'm Francine K., the breeder behind Sandpiper Bay ESS located in Port St. Lucie, FL. We have developed several protocols to ensure the health and well-being of all of our dogs. It’s our top priority to make sure each of our puppy families welcomes a happy and healthy new family member into their homes!
Q. & A. with Francine
Why did you start breeding?
I bred one of my springers 20 years ago and everyone loved their pup and kept in touch over the years. I didn’t start breeding again until 2 years ago. I thought my male and female would make beautiful pups and wanted to introduce the breed to new people researching ESS’.
What makes your program special?
I only breed once a year and retire my female after 2 litters. I will not overbreed my dogs. I don’t think it’s good to breed every cycle so I skip a cycle then breed, then after the 2nd litter my female gets spayed.
When the pups start to eat kibble I use Mother's Milk Replacement to soak it so they get all the vitamins and nutrients they need. I start them on Heartgard for heart worm preventention and Sentinel Spectrum for flea and tick prevention. I also start crate training them. I go the extra mile for my pups.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
