Meet the breeder

I'm Aleandra R., the breeder behind Sandy Acres Golden Retrievers located in Escondido, CA. We are a small scale family breeder that emphasizes health, temperament, and structure. Our family, made up of dog training professionals, allow us to ensure we not only produce, but also raise, well adjusted family companions, ready to join your home!

Q. & A. with Aleandra

  • Why did you start breeding?

I, Aleandra, have always been passionate about animal husbandry and breeding. From an early age, I bred small animals, exotic animals, and livestock, carefully researching and studying the genetics behind my programs. Once I entered into a professional career in dog training, I quickly found a desperate need for safe, social, and stable companion dogs within the family home.
  • What makes your program special?

Our program is special in many ways, the most important being how we are able to view our dogs, with the critical eyes of canine behavior specialists. We want dogs who can accompany us during a walk through a bustling city, or snooze peacefully at a park soccer game. We have selected dogs to represent our program whose genetics shine through, as a testament of stability and sociability.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
