I'm Sarah D., the breeder behind Sarah Dickens located in Bumpass, VA. We are lifelong dog enthusiasts, and we’re excited to share our passion and purpose with others through our breeding program. German Shepherds are our passion, and we can't imagine spending our lives without them. We are dedicated towards achieving excellence and healthy family pets, and we are always working to further our education so that we can continue to improve our breeding program.
Q. & A. with Sarah
Why did you start breeding?
My son is a disabled Vet. He is only 70% disabled. Because he is not totally disabled the government does not provide him dental care. I thought breeding might help provide a little extra that I could help him.
What makes your program special?
All my dogs have been DNA tested and have no genetic variants. Also I provide a coupon book with over $200 of coupons at PetSmart. My pups are microchipped at pick up. And as a dog trainer, I start training before pick up . And of course some PetSmart training is provided. I believe it is necessary for my pups to lead happy, healthy lives so I help by pre-paying for their first training.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have long coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
