I'm Kate A., the breeder behind Sassenach Siberians located in Chester Springs, PA. First and foremost my bitches are my companions. We do things together on a daily basis, whether that’s trick training or grooming, hiking or just being cozy. Careful attention to detail when considering pedigrees and pairing creates the best outcomes for our puppies to be. I follow Avidog methods. Why did you start breeding?
I’ve been a life long dog owner and been owned by Siberians since 2011. In 2019 I began training and showing, learning more about the breed. Carefully evaluating the merits of each dog we can match the best sire and dam. I apply Avidog’s concepts of transformational puppy rearing for the best results possible.What makes your program special?
In 2020 I took Avidog‘s course “Your litter A-to-Z”. I raise my puppies with “Transformational Puppy Rearing” activating their brains and bodies daily. I do ENS, early neurological stimulation and ESI, early scent introduction with each puppy. Aoife, Orla and I have had so much fun working on two trick titles (TKN and TKI) and began bikjoring. By late in 2020 it was clear to me that I wanted to continue to do more with the breed. My girls take care of me physically, emotionally and spiritually as I do for them. This unique and soul satisfying relationship I have with my girls, I want that for others. Learning all I have in the past few years I’m excited to produce puppies with excellent health, temperament and conformation. Both of my bitches are co owned by Jalerran Siberians. "I raise our puppies with daily handling and brain stimulation through smell, sight, sound and touch from the first few days of life. The price includes AKC registration, continued guidance and assistance as your puppy matures, transformational puppy rearing, some gear to get you started, Microchip, first vaccine and much more. In order to raise the best puppies possible, I keep very low volume. Puppies are born in our bedroom and raised in our home. They are socialized daily with adults, children and other dogs. Once old enough, they are taken on outdoor adventure walks. Breeding pair selections will be made for the betterment of the breed/ conformation / structure. Breeding with conformation in mind, as well as proper health testing, reduces the chance of orthopedic injuries to your dog later in life."

Program update on 07 Mar •…My girls, living their best life everyday! Fresh air and running, rumpus playtime time, claiming one of their 63 + toys to guard for the week. Learning more tricks and communication all of the time. They love having visitors. I welcome prospective puppy inquiries to schedule a visit, ask questions and get to know each other. About Mercy
Mercy is a perky happy girl, always ready for what’s next. She’s very affectionate, loves to cuddle and have her belly rubbed. Of course, daily runs are part of her routine. She’s thrilled having play dates with her siblings and other dogs. Mercy, like all my dogs and puppies, has been highly socialized with kids of all ages. Mercy knows many tricks and has a high level of communication. I have no doubt she’ll be a fantastic mother.

Amelia is a female Siberian Husky over 3 years old. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Kate decided to make her part of their program. Kate has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

Kate is not your average breeder. From the moment the puppies enter the world, she follows a deliberate and meticulous plan to make sure your puppies are prepared as possible to join their new families. She is not a breeder who is pumping out litters back to back. She carefully plans the arrival of her puppies so she can be as hands on as possible and preserve the wonderful and endearing qualities of this amazing breed. Kate’s puppies only experience love, enrichment, and so much care in the first 8-12 weeks of their lives, which leads into them making the most wonderful pets. Kate raises the puppies inside her home and establishes great habits and training with them. She has also raised the most beautiful wonderful pack of adult female dogs, who give the puppies a great model for how to behave and interact with people. Kate is extremely knowledgeable about the breed and helped us tremendously in preparing for our new pet. She is always available for support and questions, even three years later. Through her support and guidance, we have made such wonderful connections with other families who have gotten a Sassenach Siberian, and we often do meetups with Beau’s siblings. Our dog Beau is a best friend to our young children and brings so much joy to our family. If you want a well bred Siberian, there is no need to look elsewhere, Kate is the best.
