Why did you start breeding?
We have always been invested in the well-being of animals, and we love German Shepherds dearly. We decided to start our own breeding program so that we could share with others the joyful experience of owning these incredible dogs.
What makes your program special?
We have high expectations for our puppies and strive to place each one in an enriching and loving home! We care deeply about our dogs and puppies, and we do everything we can to ensure they get the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families.

Our puppies include stock, plush, and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, black, bi-color, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

About Zari
Zari is likely the most gentle of our dogs. But yet, she doesn't have any issues with letting us know if strangers are coming or are already around. We refer to her as our velcro dog. Meaning that wherever we go she goes with us. She truly is a wonderful all-round dog.

About Odin
Odin is the best dog we've ever had. He's extremely loyal, protective, and gentle at the same time. He's so wonderful with our children and would do whatever he needs to keep them safe. I do trust our kid's lives with him. He's well-balanced in temperament and in his drive.

Loki has a phenomenal disposition. He's absolutely great with our children. He's good at warning us if a stranger comes around but settles down once he gets to know people.

Jennifer and Chris are such nice folks, and very knowledgeable about German Shepherds. They were happy to answer my many questions, which I appreciate. When my husband and I came to see our puppy, they brought his parents out for us to see as well. They even invited us to come back to spend time with our pup again before pick up day.
I'm glad we found Saylor Shepherds through Good Dog. When we're ready for another pup, we would be happy to work with Jennifer and Chris again!

Jennifer and Chris made our puppy search experience so easy. Our dogs are part of our family, so we are particular about personality and behavior. But most of all we want our dogs to feel loved because they love us unconditionally. To start with a puppy that has been loved from before birth and taken care so well is important. Saylor Shepherds live all their dogs and have difficulty letting them go. They walked me through the process and kept me well informed. They sent updates with photos and body weight. It was a great experience and I highly recommend them!

The Saylors were so helpful through the whole process! They’re very knowledgeable and informative. Even since we’ve gotten Athena they’ve been a great help. We love our new girl and we’re so blessed to have had such a great first time experience with a breeder. Thank you so much for helping us expand our little family by one more!
