I'm Alaina S., the breeder behind Scarlet Reign K9s located in Lawrenceville, VA. At Scarlet Reign K9s, we breed Long Coat German Shepherds for beauty, brains, and sound temperament. Our AKC registered dogs are titled, fully health tested (hips, elbows, PennHIP, clear Embark DNA Pannels), and AKC DNA profiled, producing healthy, versatile companions.

Why did you start breeding?
My love for German Shepherds began with my own dogs, whose intelligence and loyalty inspired me to pursue breeding. With a pre-vet background, I combine scientific knowledge and hands-on care to produce healthy, well-socialized puppies. My goal is to improve the breed and provide exceptional companions.
What makes your program special?
Scarlet Reign K9s stands out for its commitment to health testing, early socialization, and ethical breeding practices. As a pre-vet major, I bring scientific knowledge and dedication to each pairing. Puppies are raised in a loving environment, exposed to family life, and prepared for success as companions or working partners.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have long coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and tan and black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Alaina

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

A $500 non-refundable deposit reserves your puppy and applies to the total price. Secures pick order. Deposit goes towards puppies dewormer, vaccines, etc.”

Alaina may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
