I'm Joshua, the breeder behind Schnauzer Ranch located in St George, UT. Every puppy we raise is adored as part of our family from birth. Our puppies will complete your home, your family, and your heart! Our dogs have proven to be the greatest companions to our family. We started breeding to contribute to breed betterment and to share smart and lovable puppies with other families. Puppies are available AKC Limited for $3100 and AKC Full (when available) for $4,600.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

It’s been a little over two years now since we got Xena, and I just have to say, working with Schnauzer Ranch and Josh was one of the best decisions we ever made. We wanted to stop in and finally share our full review because she has truly been an incredible addition to our family. Xena, and this breed in general, has been one of the best dogs I’ve ever owned. We have four kids (ages 8, 6, 2, and 1), so we were a little nervous at first about how she would handle the chaos and the little ones. But everything people say about giant schnauzers is true, they are beyond loving, patient, loyal, and protective of their family. Our younger kids sometimes scream, jump on her, tug on her, or just do the wild things toddlers do… and she just takes it with so much patience. It’s honestly like she understands they’re little and don’t know any better. Never once have we been worried about her reacting or doing harm. She has the perfect balance of protectiveness and gentleness. She’s also great with guests. She’ll be a little skeptical at first, like any good guardian dog, but because we made sure she was social from day one, she warms up quickly and just wants to play and love on everyone. One of the things we’re most grateful for is how protective she is with our kids. When our kids go outside to play, if we notice Xena isn’t inside, we instantly know she’s right behind them. She follows them out every single time and will literally sit there and watch over them. It’s the sweetest thing to see. I’ve never seen a dog watch kids the way she does. Most dogs will come and go or just lounge around, but she actually sits there, stays focused, and keeps her eyes on them the whole time. It’s the most amazing thing to see. We couldn’t have asked for a better dog. Thank you again, Josh, for giving us this bundle of joy. Xena has truly become part of our family.

We got our giant schnauzer puppy 5 days ago from Joshua, we paid for the delivery option and that went as smoothly as it possibly could. Highly recommend if you’re states away. Our puppy is the most happiest, smartest and well adjusting puppies ever. It took some learning on my end and his, naturally. Thankfully, Joshua does an amazing job at starting the potty training process so that when you receive your puppy, they’re already somewhat acclimated. Our puppy is trained in that regard after only 5 days, as well as crate trained. It was a lot of trial and error with crate training at first but what worked in the end was getting a crate with a closed roof and putting a blanket over the side of the crate. They seem to enjoy darker places when it comes to calming down. All in all, 10 out of 10. Highly recommend. Specifically with Joshua at the Schnauzer Ranch. He’s the most knowledgeable, responsible and supportive breeder we’ve ever worked with. Thanks again, Joshua.

Joshua has been the most responsive and reassuring breeder I've ever worked with. I'm probably the worst customer he's ever had because I had just been scammed by a breeder prior to finding Josh on GoodDog and was skeptical. He went above and beyond to accommodate my requests and even after the purchase he made himself readily available to help. He sent me pictures and videos every week and he took such good care of our GS pup. She is healthy, confident, friendly, socialized and very eager to please.
