I'm Justin H., the breeder behind SDPREMIERGOLDENS located in Ramona, CA. Golden Retrievers have been part of my life forever. As a groomer, my love for the breed only grew. Seeing quality Goldens become rare in Southern California, I began breeding healthy, even-tempered dogs ready to live adventurous lives with their Pawfect Family!

About Aiya
Aiya came to us from Goldens Do x Golden Cream Puff in 2022. Aiya was the first Dam introduced to our program and is a fantastic mother. Aiya is a large dog with a slim head, slim muzzle, straight coat, level top line, good bone density, and good muscle. Aiya gets compliments when we are out in town about how sweet she is and how gorgeous she looks. Aiya is a very food-driven dog: no picky eaters here! Enjoying home-cooked meals each day, a good 2-mile walk/hike, and playing in the yard and orchard with her sister and daughter, Bellatrix (future hopeful). Aiya always tries to sit next to you and be close by. She is a great, emotionally in-tune dog that is able to respond to anyone who needs a little extra love! She is fantastic with my uncle, who is a retired veteran, her little nieces and nephews who visit, and even our family cat. To show affection, she will lick you, cuddle up to you, lie next to you, snuggle you, and try to cheer anyone up in any way that she can. You can typically find Aiya lying upside down nearby with her favorite ball in her mouth. Excellent health testing
Good level
SDPREMIERGOLDENS reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Golden Retrievers.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
