



I'm Sharon C., the breeder behind Shadow Fox Farm located in Hume, VA. We strive to create family companions that can compete at dog shows in conformation and other venues. We genetically test all breeding stock for current canine diseases that affect the toy and mini American Shepherd. Our goal is to provide our clients with a healthy family pet with years of companionship.

Sharon has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

“This price includes registration. Micro chip, age appropriate shots and dewormings. Your new puppy comes with leash and collar. Puppy food, toys and chew toys. It comes with exercise chart up to 2 years old and training advice. He or she also comes with guarantees both health and temperament as well as DNA health guarantees. A $500 deposit holds your puppy. If at 8 week pick up time you do not like your puppy I will refund money or you can let it stay until next litter.”
Sharon may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
