We’re located in Preston, Idaho, where our puppies are raised with lots of love, attention, and care. Finding the perfect puppy is such an exciting time, and I love being a part of that journey\! We’re happy to help families near and far, I love to fly with our puppies to their new homes, or I can also meet at the SLC airport\. Our relationship with our puppy families does not end on go\-home day\. I am here to support you before, during, and after you welcome your new puppy home\. My goal is to make the entire experience as easy, exciting, and special as possible\. I would love to help you find the perfect new addition to your family\!   • Why did you start breeding?

    We both had pets growing up and have always had a deep love for them. When we got married we bought two Labs and started raising and training them 5 years after we were married. When our kids got a little older they each were able to get a dog and learned how to take care of, and help raise and train their own puppies. They learned it is hard work to raise puppies, but also very rewarding.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our breeding program is special, it is a way of life for us. We LOVE our dogs and take pride in producing puppies that have hands on training starting at day three. We start potty training at 3 weeks. I love flying them all over and delivering them to family’s that I know will love them almost as much as me :) We live in a small town out on 18 acres of land where our dogs have room to run and play and really live the best life possible.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Cockapoo puppies are mini size. Cavapoo puppies include toy and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Cockapoo puppies include red, cream, and red and white. Cavapoo puppies include cream, red, and apricot. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    We looked at puppies on Good Dog for over a year, and are glad we went with Shaffer Top Notch Puppies — highly recommend! We're first-time dog owners, and Teresa patiently answered all our questions, did a long FaceTime so we could meet the puppies and their parents, and after we chose our pup, George, she sent us updates and pics. She was flexible with our pickup date too, and she personally flew him to us in California, which made everything easy for us and comfortable for George during his travel day. We brought George home at 11 weeks, and he has the softest coat and a sweet personality - he's playful but calm, healthy according to our vet, and surprisingly easy to train even for us newbies. Potty training clicked within a week, and he was sleeping peacefully through the night in his crate after just a few nights home. So grateful to Teresa for helping us find a sweet pup!

    I highly recommend Teresa and Shaffer Top Notch Puppies! Teresa is honest and kind, and highly knowledgeable. She takes the time to thoughtfully answer questions, and we know that Winnie (Lady) had the best home to be nurtured and trained in even in her first few weeks of life. When she came home, Winnie took to potty training so fast, something Teresa fostered with pellet training. She also knew how to be attentive and sit, and crate training was a breeze. I can tell her parents are both wonderful dogs - she is loving, gentle, and too smart for her own good! Our vet says she is 100% a healthy and happy pup! We are so grateful for Teresa, she gave us the most joyful gift in Winnie!
