Meet the breeder

I'm Kiana B., the breeder behind Shamayim Shepherds located in Olympia, WA. The name “Shamayim” (שָׁמַיִם) is a Hebrew word meaning “heavens” or “sky,” and it reflects the heart and purpose behind our breeding program. At Shamayim Shepherds, we believe that these incredible dogs are truly a gift from above — bringing joy, devotion, and companionship to our lives every single day. Just like the boundless skies, our passion for Miniature American Shepherds knows no limits. Our goal is to breed sound, beautiful dogs that excel both in the show ring and as cherished family companions. Our dogs are loved like family and nurtured with devotion, celebrating their lineage and striving for the highest quality. Each puppy raised is a reflection of the spirit which ‘Shamayim,’ represents- reaching toward a future as bright as the heavens above.. We invite you to explore our site and get to know more about our program, our dogs, and the values that inspire us. Thank you for visiting Shamayim Shepherds!

Q. & A. with Kiana

  • What makes your program special?

My breeding program is small and unique- I spend all of my time with my dogs and they are all well adjusted to a family atmosphere. The puppies are born and raised in my bedroom, so I am always close by to keep a caring watch over them. They are all socialized with children from day one, and we have an array of other animals on our farm, which makes them the perfect family and farm dogs!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black & white, black tri, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Kiana was very kind and not pushy when I initially inquired about our puppy. She was happy to answer questions. At the exchange she had such a warm presence towards me and in exchanging the puppy. The pup we received was well cared for and has been such a sharp whit and a joy in the family.

  • Brittany H.

    Verified owner · Jan. 2025
