I'm Shelley S., the breeder behind Shelley Smith's Golden Retrievers located in Novato, CA. I am a preservation breeder striving for quality, health, and to ensure the future of the Golden Retriever for generations to come. I strive to produce outstanding puppies that are structurally sound, healthy, intuitive, and have wonderful temperaments. I love working with my dogs and seeing the positive effect that a well-behaved, furry companion can have on his or her family.

Why did you start breeding?
My love for Golden Retrievers inspired me to share this amazing breed with the world in a responsible way. I have loved the journey and I am a proud breeder with a focus on temperament and the overall mental and physical health of my puppies. I love placing happy, healthy puppies with loving families.What makes your program special?
I have always been invested in the well-being of animals. I wanted to give back to the Golden Retriever breed by producing healthy pups and placing them into loving homes. I am very dedicated to what I do and what I am trying to achieve as a breeder of these wonderful dogs. I work with passion, heart, integrity, and truly want what's best for my puppies and their future forever families.Where do your breeding dogs live?
