Nancy C.

Breeder of Pembroke Welsh Corgis

Meet the breeder

I'm Nancy C., the breeder behind Shenanigans Ranch located in Tehachapi, CA. We responsibly breed, raise, and socialize healthy pups so others can enjoy the gift of living life with a Corgi! We are dedicated to always providing our buyers and our puppies with a positive experience, which includes remaining committed to responsible breeding practices.

Q. & A. with Nancy

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got a puppy from my mentor and had such a pleasant experience that I wanted to be a part of that. Everything from the genetic diseases to the natural instincts the corgis possess peaked my interests.
  • What makes your program special?

I am always trying to make the stressful raising a puppy a little bit easier. I start potty training at 2.5 weeks old with hydroponic grass so the puppies are prepared to potty in real grass once they are allowed outside. It makes the transition so much easier since there is no pee pads to deal with.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red, black and tan, and white and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
