Sheri Lauritsen

Meet the breeder

I'm Sheri L., the breeder behind Sheri Lauritsen located in Twin Falls, ID. Small, in-home breeder of rare Schnoxies (Mini Schnauzer × Mini Dachshund). Not high-volume—focused on quality, health, and temperament. Puppies are raised in our home with daily handling and socialization for confident, well-adjusted companions ready for loving homes.

Q. & A. with Sheri

  • Why did you start breeding?

I grew up in a breeding and showing home, starting with Dobermans, then Rottweilers, and over 35 years with English Mastiffs. I later bred Mastiffs myself and, over time, transitioned to smaller breeds. Breeding isn’t something I started later in life, it’s something I was raised in and have continued with experience and purpose.
  • What makes your program special?

The Schnoxie itself is a rare and unique mix between the Miniature Schnauzer and Miniature Dachshund. When thoughtfully bred, they combine the intelligence and loyalty of the Schnauzer with the affectionate, playful nature of the Dachshund. They are not commonly found, which makes well-raised Schnoxies from an experienced background even more special.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Companion Cross puppies are small size. Dachshund puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our Companion Cross puppies have smooth coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Companion Cross puppies are black and tan. Miniature Schnauzer puppies are salt and pepper. Dachshund puppies are black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Sheri

Sheri has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Sheri partners with them to find the best puppy match.

"Puppies are matched based on temperament, personality, and lifestyle fit rather than first-come, first-served. I take the time to understand each home to ensure the right placement. This approach sets both the puppy and the family up for long-term success."

A $500 refundable deposit reserves your puppy. Applied to purchase price or refunded if a suitable match is not available."
