I can confidently & without hesitation recommend breeders Amanda & Jerry (SKSS) to anyone looking for a puppy! Being new to Texas, we were cautious in selecting a breeder & they were top notch to work with! Growing up, my parents had also bred ESS pups & so finding a quality breeder was important to me. Our Sweet Chocolena was from Luna & Manchester’s January 2026 litter. Communication: Amanda was very prompt & thorough in answering any & all of my questions from start to finish (& I asked a lot! LOL ;) If she didn’t know the answer off the top of her head, then she went the extra mile to learn the answer & get back to me quickly. Amanda was very good with keeping us informed with any updates with Luna’s pregnancy & after the puppies were born ... often posting progress photos as the puppies grew. Environment: Amanda & Jerry dote on their dogs & one can see from their photos, that they are well cared for & like members of the family . Likewise , the very same loving attention is shown to each of their growing puppies. Nice clean living conditions noted in the photos. Payment: Thru Good Dog; is pretty easy transaction, & no issues with the app itself. Pickup: We opted to drive to meet Amanda for pickup…she was very flexible with both her & our schedules. Amanda was wise & thoughtful to exercise/play with Chocolena ahead of time to wear her out & also made sure that the puppy did not have a full stomach , knowing that we had a long car ride back home & didn’t want her to get carsick … She even gave her a nice bath beforehand so that she was in tip top condition for sweet snuggles at our meeting… this all was well appreciated & ensured smooth sailing for the 4 hour ride home! Extra niceties that we loved about SKSS: -Chocolena came to us with a thoughtful gift bag including a soft blanket with Luna’s & littermates’ scent, a starter amount of her current dog food, complimentary sharp looking SKSS shirt & mug, & vet paperwork documentation of her 1st shots/vet check - I also appreciated that they still offered the tradition of docking the tails as this is my preference & I was having a harder time finding a breeder in Texas doing so . -Amanda also went out of her way to answer a few follow-up questions that I had after arriving home & offered her experience/advice. Our Puppy: Chocolena has the adorable “classic ESS markings & look” that I was looking for . Having grown up with ESS & having one ever since I was a toddler, I can tell that this is a wonderful puppy. She is healthy, smart , inquisitive, playful, gets along well with our older ESS, & is a welcome addition to our family!! Thank you Amanda & Jerry/ SKSS!! :)
