I'm Rebecca P., the breeder behind Shine Shar-Pei located in Wellington, OH. We breed and show top-quality dogs. Our heavy involvement in the show world speaks to the standards that we breed our dogs by. Our program was built with care and intention in every step. We are passionate about the health and wellbeing of this breed, and we want our program to be an example of how to responsibly breed high-quality, healthy dogs. All of our dogs have been health tested including: Hips/elbows/Patellas/ SPAID/PLL-POAG. Every breeding we do is done with the utmost care to produce the healthiest dogs, both mentally and physically.

    Shine Shar-Pei has produced many champions including Best In Show dogs in 3 countries and top winning dogs on 4 continents. Each breeding is considered carefully and most important the goal is to produce healthy and sound dogs with good temperaments. See information and pictures of our dogs on our website. Getting a puppy from Rebecca

Rebecca has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and $2,750 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Puppies are microchipped, vet checked, vaccinated, dewormed if needed and started on potty training. They come with 30 days of insurance starting the day they are picked up. Puppies are also SPAID tested. I only take deposits once the puppies are safely on the ground. If you decide not to take a puppy from the litter you placed a deposit on, you may move it once to the next litter.”

Rebecca may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Primary Open Angle Glaucoma and Primary Lens Luxation (POAG/PLL), Shar-Pei Type, DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
