Courtney was incredibly responsive throughout the entire adoption process and you can tell she really cares for the health and happiness of the puppies. We're incredibly glad that we found her through Gooddog and would recommend anyone looking for a new corgi family member to do so through Short & Stout.

What more could I say about Courtney at Short & Stout! Our experience with her could not have been more positive. As future first time puppy owners, my girlfriend and I were having trouble getting through to most breeders around us. Courtney was quick to respond to our application, and from the day we were chosen to be one of her pups’ future homes we went on to exchange hundreds of messages in preparation for drop off day. Courtney consistently provided us with tips on our future pups’ preferences, precious photos to update us on his growth, and made sure our process was as smooth and transparent as possible. At drop off, we were provided with all of his records to date and AKC registration. Finally, shout out to Good Dog as well for giving us the platform to find such a wonderful breeder and the perfect addition to our family! I’d gladly recommend working with Short & Stout to anyone looking for an experience like ours. Here are some pictures of our new best friend, Ernie!

I’ve interacted with several breeders and this is the one I chose. Good rate, close to home and responds almost instantly. I would ask several questions and have answers within minutes. I was able to do a video visit with her and the puppy before purchase, which was very comforting. Even after I put the deposit down, she would send me random photos of the puppy through out the day. We are both a couple hours away from each other and we both met half way. The woman and her husband were both great, took time & explained all the paper work that was given to me. I brought the puppy to the vet within 72 hours, sent her the confirmation for that and she updated the puppies microchip to my information within minutes. The pup has been with me for about 5 days now and I send her photos & keep her updated on how well she’s doing. These are great breeders and I would honestly recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much for my new little one!

Working with Courtney was great. She’s amazing at communication, always so fast to answer and so helpful. Even now that I have the puppy, if I have a question, she’s still available to offer answers, advice, and support. This puppy is so well-behaved and intelligent, so well-bred. He’s a delight. I fully recommend this experience.

Working with Courtney at Short & Stout was a great experience all the way through. I reached out to a few different breeders and ultimately went with Courtney and I could not be happier! I was at first thrilled to find a breeder local to me, but our positive experience went so far above and beyond just location. Courtney was prompt with responses and very easy to work with. After talking and deciding we would be a good match for one of their female puppies, Courtney stayed in regular contact with me and sent frequent pics and updates all along the way. I appreciate how thorough Courtney was with vet appointments for the puppies and ensuring everyone was in tip-top health before coming home. When we brought our girl Scout home at 10 weeks old, she was a happy, healthy and very well tempered pup. I appreciate the standard of breeding and rearing that Short & Stout held themselves to, and would recommend them to anyone looking for their new best friend. Scout is now 3 months old and the perfect addition to our family, I truly can’t say enough good things about our experience!
