Sierra Frenchies

Naniece B.

Breeder of French Bulldogs

Meet the breeder

I'm Naniece B., the breeder behind Sierra Frenchies located in Reno, NV. My breeding program is intended for conformation showing and competing in various dog sports. I breed to the standard. I carefully choose the sire and dam in order to produce the best quality possible. I do everything I can to ensure the puppies have everything they need to develop into healthy and happy dogs.

Q. & A. with Naniece

  • Why did you start breeding?

I bred my first show dogs to improve my current line. I loved it so much I've continued to breed.
  • What makes your program special?

My husband has a PhD in Cellular Biochemistry with expertise in nutrition. Above all else, the nutritional guidance for the well being of mom and puppies sets the bar very high for my breeding program. This nutritional focus is also applied to all life stages and, in particular, the seniors.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include brindle and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Spine (OFA, FCI), Canine Good Citizen (CGC)

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
